MrDriver™ is a technology marketplace, not a driving school. You are not an employee and you do not hand your students over to a school. Students in 24+ Ontario cities open the MrDriver student app, search for driving instructors near them, compare instructor profiles and rates, and send a lesson request directly to you. You decide which requests to accept, where you teach, and what you charge.
Set your own rates, hours, and service area
In the instructor app you define your hourly rate, your working hours, and the neighbourhoods you cover. Across the GTA, lesson rates typically run from about $35 to $60 per hour, and instructors who keep their calendar full treat it as a full-time living while others teach evenings and weekends around another job. There are no membership or subscription fees to be listed on the platform.
From request to lesson
When a student books, the request appears in your app with the pickup location, the time, and the lesson type. Students are told that most instructors confirm within about 30 minutes, so the sooner you confirm, the more bookings you keep. Once a lesson is booked, in-app chat opens between you and the student so you can coordinate the pickup spot or a change of time without trading phone numbers.
Getting paid
Students pay through the app and payments are processed securely by Stripe, so you do not chase e-transfers or carry cash. Your earnings, completed lessons, and student reviews are tracked in the app so you can see how your business is growing month over month.
Who students are looking for
Demand comes from three main groups: new drivers preparing for the G2 road test, G2 holders preparing for the full G test, and newcomers to Ontario who already drive but need to pass a road test here. Instructors who know their local DriveTest centre routes, such as Brampton or the other GTA test centres, are especially in demand in the weeks before a test date.
